WHO WE ARE
Bulandi – Inclusive and Participatory Development Society is a women-led non-profit organization established in August 2023 under the Chhattisgarh Societies Registration Act, 1973. Bulandi was founded with a strong commitment to promoting inclusive and participatory development by nurturing women’s leadership and strengthening the voice and agency of marginalized communities.
The organization works to mainstream gender and build strong women’s collectives among excluded and vulnerable groups, including backward communities, migrants, informal workers, persons living with HIV (PLHIV), sanitation workers, and SC/ST communities across urban, slum, and tribal areas.
Bulandi envisions a society where marginalized communities are empowered to lead their own development processes, guided by the principles of equality, equity, and inclusion. The organization promotes a transformative journey from exclusion to leadership, ensuring that women are not only represented in decision-making spaces but are also recognized as leaders and change-makers driving sustainable development within their communities.
Through nurturing women’s leadership, strengthening local governance, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and fostering community participation, Bulandi strives to create inclusive, resilient, and equitable communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive with dignity.
